This is going to be hard to hear…but humans are terrible at multitasking. Yes…even you. Our brains cannot fully focus on two things at once; that means when we’re “multitasking,” we’re giving most, if not all, of our attention to one of those tasks. Of-course, when we’re at our computers, it’s easy to want to “multitask.” That could come in the form of listening to a podcast while trying to write. It could be switching between tabs or apps. Or it could even be as innocuous as taking notes during a call. With the advent of AI transcription tools, of-course, we don’t really have to do that anymore…especially if we find a really good app. Supernormal is a really good app. Here are a few reasons why:
I can run the commands and prompts (called shortcuts) they provide…or create my own. And since Supernormal doesn’t need to join the meeting — it just grabs my computer’s audio — I can use it for other things…like my podcast recordings. As a solopreneur, it can feel like we need to multitask. Like if we’re not doing everything, we’re not doing enough. But the best thing we can do — especially for our clients and peers — is be fully present and attentive for them. Supernormal allows me to do that, as well as be fully confident that whatever I need to do after the call will be taken care of. If this resonates, you can download Supernormal and see if it earns a place in your workflow.
